Position: Station Cook

Location: Cattle Station near Burketown

Starting date: late February early March

Job Description:

I am recruiting an experienced Cook to join our team on a large cattle station near Burketown. As the Station Cook, you will be responsible for preparing meals for a team of 8-12 staff members.

Responsibilities:

– Prepare and cook meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following established recipes and cooking techniques

– Plan weekly menus and ensure variety in meals, considering dietary restrictions and preferences of staff members

– Manage food inventory and ordering, ensuring supplies are available and fresh

– Keep the kitchen clean and organized, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene

– Adhere to health and safety regulations, following proper food handling and storage procedures

– Collaborate with the Station Manager and other staff members to ensure meals are served on time and meet quality standards

Requirements:

– Proven experience as a Cook or Chef, preferably in a similar setting

– Ability to cook a variety of nutritious and delicious meals, catering to different tastes and dietary requirements

– Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

– Knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations, ensuring proper handling and storage of perishable items

– Ability to work independently and as part
